Jacques Pépin: Culinary Legend

Boston University

Chef Jacques Pépin has left an indelible mark on American cooking and Boston chefs are saying thank you—with food, of course—at Boston University’s A Toast to Innovation. The iconic cook has an array of accomplishments under his toque: from James Beard Awards and Daytime Emmys to helping found the culinary arts and gastronomy programs at BU’s MET College. Local culinary leaders and beverage pros will toast to the influential French chef with a gastronomic extravaganza, featuring tastes from chefs like Jamie Bissonnette, Michael Leviton, Jasper White and more. The celebration marks Pépin‘s 80th birthday and he’s keeping busy with a new PBS series and a just-released cookbook, Jacques Pépin Heart & Soul in the Kitchen—a signed copy of which is included in the $150 event ticket price. A Toast to Innovation takes place on Monday, November 2nd from 6:00-9:00pm and you can see the chef lineup and purchase tickets online here.
