In loving tribute to the cookie of the moment, Les Zygomates and its neighbor/sister restaurant Sorriso celebrate National Macaron Day from Tuesday, May 27th right up through Saturday, May 31st. Pastry chef Kristin Lanzillotti will be presenting desserts inspired by the meringue-based French confection (which may or may not have come originally from Italy, depending on which culinary historian you put your faith in). Lanzillotti’s creations include (but are certainly not limited to) a lemon-raspberry macaron Napoleon and a grasshopper macaron ice box cake, but there are plenty of options for macaron purists.
