We’re looking for an enthusiastic, personable, and organized Host to join our front-of-house team. As the first face guests see and the last person they interact with, you’ll play an essential role in shaping the Willie’s experience. We’re looking for someone who can make every guest feel like a regular, manage the rhythm of a bustling dining room, and bring positive energy to every shift. Whether welcoming neighborhood regulars, accommodating walk-ins, or coordinating reservations during a busy dinner rush, you’ll help set the tone for exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome every guest with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using Resy.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize dining room efficiency while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure seamless service.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservation requests.
- Anticipate guest needs, recognize returning guests, and create memorable first and last impressions.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting host stand and entrance.
- Assist with special occasions, guest accommodations, and service recovery when needed.
- Support the broader front-of-house team during busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Previous hosting or restaurant experience is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A naturally warm, engaging personality and passion for hospitality.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence managing guest expectations and navigating challenging situations with grace.
- Familiarity with Resy or similar reservation platforms is a plus.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A team-first mentality and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
