The Raw Bar at Island Creek Oyster Farm is our beautiful scenic patio on Duxbury Bay.This position is responsible for day to day operations at The Raw Bar with a strong focus on hospitality and guest experience, while hitting points of service appropriate for the venue. Success in this role will be achieved by channeling the ICO brand into a hospitality experience delivered by the GM and their FOH team–creating the highest level guest experience offered in an easygoing and casual way. Composure, resourcefulness, powerful EQ, and a passion for and knowledge of good food and drink are essential elements in the toolkit this person must bring to work each day to achieve their purpose. This person must be a positive contributor to a tight knit leadership team managing across a large and dynamic property.
The General Manager of The Raw Bar reports directly to the Director of Hospitality.
ROLE:
- Oversee daily operations at The Raw Bar in partnership with the management team
- Be a compelling leader, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Work with management team to hire team, setting goals and expectations
- Schedule staff in collaboration with Pros Management Team
- Lead product education initiatives on a daily basis through pre-shift meetings, focusing on
continual staff development and education - Execute training for all new hires, working within established training programs
- Manage labor costs daily, making smart decisions daily, with attention to sales and business level
- Maintain staff levels to meet the business demands of the restaurant
- Manage tip out and payroll on a weekly basis
- Responsible for liaising on property maintenance, gardening, floral, etc
- Support all event leads and and potential events
- Assist in maintaining / renewing all licenses and permits
- Work collaboratively with Pros Management Team for the global good
- Complete other responsibilities and duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years previous restaurant management experience
- Intuitive hospitality
- Ability to anticipate guest needs
- Ability to train staff to hit points of service consistent with ICO brand and The Raw Bar concept
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage team of personnel
- Strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to do whatever it takes to accomplish the job at hand
- Highest level attention to detail/ organizational skills
- Ability to build meaningful and effective relationships with guests
- Ability to prioritize/manage a variety of different tasks
- A good representative of Island Creek

- Must be comfortable standing/walking for 8 hours; and be able to bend, push, pull and/or lift 30 lbs.
