Corn lovers, mark your calendars for an a-maize-ing night at Sofra in Allston. On Thursday, August 20th chef Pri Paige and owner Maura Kilpatrick are doing a deep dive on corn, and you’re not gonna want to miss a kernel of info about cooking with this beloved summer staple.
Grab tickets for $140 per person on their website and make your way to North Harvard Street at 6:00pm to watch the chefs tackle Corn Hummus with zhoug and feta, Grilled Shrimp with corn and tomato plaki, Mexican Street Corn Focaccia, and Sweet Corn Crème Brûlée. The CORNucopia Class is done demonstration style, so you don’t have to do a thing but sit and enjoy some Sofra treats (and perhaps some sips) while the pros do all the work. After class you’ll get to try all the food plus there’ll be recipes to take home.
Give the Allston location a call at 617.870.7915 or email if you have any Qs, and check out the bakery’s classes page to see what else they’ve got cooking in the test kitchen this summer and fall.
