Tomato X Sake Dinner in Somerville

Field and Vine

Tomatoes tomatoes, everywhere — that’s how New England celebrates early September. Get in on the harvest fun with a four-course Tomato X Sake Dinner with the team at Field & Vine on Wednesday, September 14th when they team up with their friends at The Koji Club for a very cool collaborative event.

F&V’s Chef Andrew Brady and Sara Markey have invited Koji Club’s sake-master/owner Alyssa Mikiko DiPasquale, the brains behind the Brighton-based sake bar (Boston’s first), to share some fabulous pours with innovative tomato dishes like Kumamoto Oysters with tomato water and marigold, and Fluke Crudo with nectarine, pickled green tomato, smoked tomato powder and olive oil. Check out the menu below for main courses like Tomato Tart with cornmeal crust and Grilled Pork Loin with fermented tomato and habanero marinade. Mikiko is still tinkering with the sake pairings, but don’t fret as she will be on hand during dinner to discuss each selection and answer all your questions about the magical mold called koji.

Make a reservation here for 6:00 or 8:00pm; dinner is $99 per person, which includes all your food and sake. Call 617.718.2333 or DM them on Instagram with any Qs, and check out The Koji Club for updates on upcoming sake tastings around the city.
