Sofra Strawberry Fest


It’s strawberry season, folks, and Executive Pastry Chef Maura Kilpatrick is wasting no time in making the most of the local goodies. On Monday, June 10th, make your way to Sofra Bakery & Cafe, where you’ll learn how to incorporate the ruby red seeded fruit into a bunch of different dishes like feta borek with green strawberry tzatziki, strawberry spoon salad, strawberry pie, no-churn strawberry sherbet and strawberry sangria. Ten dollars from every ticket is going to Future Chefs, a local nonprofit that prepares youth for success after high school by helping them gain culinary experience — the organization’s founder, Toni Elka, will be on-site so you can talk more about the group’s vision. Scoop up your spot for $85 (plus a tiny processing fee) right this way.
