Celebrate strawberry season on Sunday, June 24th in the kitchen at Sofra with a slew of other cooks (there’s not too many in this case). The casual Cambridge café is hauling in fresh berries from Verrill Farm for the evening to create a strawberry-tastic menu, from cocktails to confections. Strawberry sangria sippin’ starts at 6:30pm followed by vegetable fritters with green strawberry tzatziki, feta borek with pickled green strawberries, and seared scallops & strawberry spoon salad. Then, learn how to make floating islands — a delicious French dessert — courtesy of Executive Pastry Chef Maura Kilpatrick. The cherry (errr… strawberry?) on top is an epic dessert buffet of strawberry tarlette, strawberry truffles, and strawberries with rose petal jam made by the trio of pastry teams at Sofra, Oleana and Sarma.
