On Thursday, June 21st, The Food Voice is honoring New England cookbook authors, writers, editors and chefs at the 3rd annual Readable Feast, a culinary book awards ceremony and gala. Beginning at 6:00pm, there’ll be a cooking demo — courtesy of chef Lydia Shire — and cocktail reception before the presentation of awards for Book of the Year, General Cooking, Aesthetic Achievement, Memoir & Food Writing, Single Subject, Socially Conscious, and the People’s Choice Award. A pop-up bookstore via Porter Square Books will feature many of the nominees, and select authors will be around for book signings — see a complete list of finalists here. Food is the theme of the year, clearly, and there will be plenty of it available, thanks to Gourmet Caterers. The event will be held at The TriMark Innovation Center at 21 Drydock Avenue in the Seaport, and tickets are $75 through June 11 (so get yours soon!), before bumping up to $100 after that.
