In the Kitchen’s Classic Comfort Food

During the dark, hunker-down months of winter, Rustic Kitchen‘s host-chef Alissa Bigelow is all about braising. Sign on for a February or March installment of her Friday night cooking series, In the Kitchen, to see her prepare executive chef Tom Holloway‘s classic cold-weather comfort food: slow-braised beef short ribs. Bigelow starts guests off with a harvest salad of baby field greens with dried cranberries, toasted walnuts, roasted butternut squash and blood orange vinaigrette and serves the short ribs with winter vegetables and a wild mushroom risotto. The meal will be paired with private label Rustic Kitchen Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Sequoia Grove Vineyards in Napa, California. Tickets to the weekly event, which gets underway at 7:00pm in the cozy Park Square cooking studio, cost $85 apiece and must be purchased in advance by calling 781.575.1533.
