Grotto Brings Back Big Night

Despite rumors that they’d passed the torch, Grotto has scheduled their next Big Night Dinner for Thursday, May 13th. For the uninitiated: every so often chef-owner Scott Herritt pays culinary tribute to Big Night, one of his favorite foodie movies. The film, popular among food enthusiasts, tells the story of two brothers who, in an effort to save their flailing restaurant, host an elaborate dinner for legendary band leader Louis Prima. Herritt and his team recreate the movie’s menu – from timpani to whole roasted pig – in an extravagant, belt-busting feast. For the initiated: dinner starts at 7:00pm and costs $50 per person ($70 if you’d like them to pair your wines for you). Call 617.227.3434 for reservations.
