If mom could use an extra dose of comfort food this Mother’s Day, get her dinner from Grotto. Scott Herritt’s Beacon Hill mainstay is offering a three-course prix fixe full of tasty eats that’ll make her day. The menu, available below and on the Grotto website, is made for four (with leftovers) and costs $110. There are classics dishes from the restaurant’s Italian repertoire (caprese salad, baked ziti, lasagna bolognese, tiramisu and the like) and you can add bottles of wine (as many as two) to complete your meal.

If you want to go above and beyond you can add house-made pasta and sauces by the pint (so mom won’t have to think about cooking for a few more days). Th Mother’s Day menu is available for pre-order only so get your order in by 6:00pm on Friday, May 8th – just call 617.227.3434 after 4:00pm or send an email to and they’ll be in touch to arrange payment. You’ll be able to pick-up your meal curbside (just call the restaurant when you arrive) on either Saturday, May 9th or Sunday, May 10th between 1:00 and 5:00pm.
