Fifth Annual Under the Harvest Moon Benefit

On Thursday, October 2nd restaurants from Cambridge and beyond come together for Food for Free’s annual autumn fundraiser, Under the Harvest Moon. The benefit, which runs from 6:00-10:00pm at MIT’s Morss Hall, features live music from One Thin Dime and Jeremy Lyons, silent and live auctions, and light nibbles from nearly twenty area restaurants and caterers including Casablanca, Chez Henri, The Fireplace, Rendezvous, Rialto and UpStairs on the Square. Pick up your tickets – $50 in advance or $60 at the door – and you can rub shoulders with fellow Food for Free supporters including Tom and Ray Magliozzi and producer Doug Berman from NPR’s Car Talk. Proceeds help Food for Free combat hunger by rescuing fresh food that might otherwise go to waste and getting it to those in need. To purchase tickets or to get more information about Under the Harvest Moon and Food for Free, call 617.868.2900 or visit their website.
