The Sweet Side of Olive Oil

What’s the secret to all the sweets and treats at Sofra? Olive oil! Well, olive oil and a fair amount of know-how. Explore the ways of working with this Mediterranean staple while you pick up some dessert skills from executive pastry chef Maura Kilpatrick and pastry chef Nik Mastalerz at The Sweet Side of Olive Oil baking class, scheduled for Thursday, April 20th from 6:30 to 9:00pm.

High-quality olive oil can add richness and depth to all kinds of pastries, and you will learn to make Frozen Olive Oil Soufflé with an Olive Oil Ganache, Olive Oil and White Chocolate Tart with Strawberries and Pistachios, and an Olive Oil Ice Cream that’s easy to make at home without a machine. The chefs will lead the demonstration-style class, which will leave your hands free to munch on the results, plus there will be some special Sofra snacks and you’ll get to take home a packet of the recipes (and hopefully a little kitchen confidence).
