On Monday, March 8th chef Gordon Hamersley crosses the river to Cambridge to join chef Jody Adams in the Rialto kitchen for a special dinner celebrating the release of his first cookbook, Bistro Cooking at Home. Guests will be treated to an evening of food, wine and fun storytelling with these longtime friends and colleagues. The event begins at 6:30pm with a cocktail reception and book signing, followed by a four-course dinner and dessert. Bistro Cooking at Home will be on sale during the course of the evening and Hamersley will have his pen handy to sign copies for guests. The menu for the evening is straight from Bistro Cooking at Home, as interpreted and prepared by Jody Adams and her Rialto staff. Expect dishes like salt-cured foie gras with roasted pear, arugula, and walnut salad; lobster, mushroom and spinach tart; bacon-wrapped scallops with beurre blanc and a gratin of artichoke and swiss chard; duck confit with braised oyster mushrooms and mini mashed potato cake; and souffléed lemon custard with lemon-lavender sugar cookies.
