Chef Sarah Wade’s second restaurant, Sloane’s, at 197 North Harvard Street in Allston (at the Continuum Building right by Trader Joe’s), is the spot for Wade’s signature southern-inspired bites, eye-popping sweet treats, and a playful drinks menu.

The “Chopped” alum and owner of Stillwater (just off the end of the Rose Kennedy Greenway) features a menu of fun comfort food including shareable apps, hearty mains, and a slew of filling sandwiches and burgers. Come by for lunch or dinner, or stop in on the weekend for a long and leisurely brunch that’ll stick to your ribs. Save some room for a sweet treat afterwards, because pastry chef Kaitlyn Lloyd has lots to look forward to including extra tall cake slices and a full ice cream program. Mackenzie Dame designed the playful cocktail program, which leans in to local spirits producers, plus you can’t miss the “Swim-Up Bar” outdoors, where you can whet your whistle with rum runners and boozy ice cream floats without getting wet.

There’s lots of space for stretching out while you explore the menu, with seating for 80 between the dining room, 20 bar seats and 18-seat outdoor patio. The modern space designed by Kerry Farr of Boston’s Farr North features light tabletops contrasting with dark accent walls, and a decidedly retro-yet-modern feel.
