Sin City Superette Reopens

Sin City Superette

Get out to Lynn ASAP to check out the newest incarnation of chef Rachel Miller ‘s Sin City Superette, which is back in action with a Gulf Coast vibe. The James Beard Award “Outstanding Chef” finalist has a fresh, new menu packed with Southern eats and sweets that you will be gorging yourself on all summer long. The latest update of the superette, which was born out of the pandemic, is a collaboration with Todd Bekesha of Po’ Boys and Pies, and there’s quite a lot of fun flavors to explore between made-to-order sandwiches, prepared foods, and curated selection of groceries.

Pop by for lunch from 12:00 to 3:00pm and stock up on baguette, po’ boy and Bánh Mì sandwiches for the beach cooler, like the Cochon de Lait po’ boy with tangy slaw and spicy sauce, or the Viet-Cajun Crawfish Tails with shredded cabbage and nuoc cham. If you’re veering more towards Vietnamese go for a Lobster Salad Bánh Mì with uni butter and fennel pollen, or Chili-Ranch Soft Shell Crab, and ‘classics’ like Duck Rillettes with mustard and Gold Medal BBQ Seitan.

If you’re looking for dinner, spend more time relaxing and enjoying a cold drink and less time standing at the stove in the summer heat thanks to a rotating menu of on-the-go staples like Red Beans and Rice, Baked Mac and Cheese, BBQ Chicken, Braised Greens and Crawfish Etouffee, as well as a Viet-Cajun Seafood Boil with crawfish, shrimp and crab legs. There’s also plenty of southern-inspired sweets, like fruit-filled hand pies and pecan pies, Chocolate & Fish Sauce Caramel Tarts, cobblers, galettes and cookies. Plus you can cool off with ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet cups.

There’s plenty of space to eat on-site thanks to new indoor and outdoor seating, or you can take anything to go, including locally-sourced produce, groceries, and a selection of household items. The superette is open Thursday through Monday from 12:00 to 9:00pm and is conveniently located right next door to Miller’s acclaimed Nightshade Noodle Bar at 71 Exchange Street in downtown Lynn.
