Grace by Nia, Now Open

Robin Winchell/Grace By Nia

Grace By Nia, the new supper club, stage and lounge from restaurateur and community leader Nia Grace (Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen and The Underground Cafe) is now open on Seaport Boulevard. Created in partnership with the entertainment gurus at Big Night, the new 5,000-square foot space brings some much-appreciated performance space, plus a slew of soul food flavors, to the ever-expanding lineup of eateries in the Seaport.

Decked out in rich shades of teal and gold with leather-lined booths, chandeliers, palm trees and art from local artists, the 166-seat space designed by Peter Niemitz is more than just a restaurant. It features an expansive bar and intimate stage and lounge area, which will feature live local jazz, R&B, soul, and hip-hop artists as well as DJs for late nighters. But you’ll definitely want to come for the Cajun/soul-inspired menu, with standouts like Bourbon Peach Spare Ribs (chargrilled St. Louis style, whole grain mustard bourbon peach sauce) and Oxtail and Grits (molasses braised beef oxtails, stewed vegetables, creamy coconut grits). Plus you can get oysters made “Your Way” — raw (with blood orange sriracha mignonette and cocktail sauce), Southern Fried in a Cajun cornmeal batter and served with creole remoulade sauce, or Chargrilled on the half shell with garlic, butter, parmesan, and Romano cheese. They’ll also start serving brunch (think: red velvet pancakes and Piri Piri shrimp & grits) on weekends starting Saturday, May 27th. Take a peek at the menu below.

It wouldn’t be a proper live music venue without great bevvies, and Grace doesn’t disappoint with a jazz-themed drinks lineup packed with wines and spirits from Black and minority owned beverage and wine companies. Get the party started with large-format drinks like Killing It Softly (Uncle Nearest 1884, blood orange, yuzu, applewood smoke) and Cold Tea (Don Julio Blanco, blackberry & ginger liquors, fresh lime & agave), or try something from the cocktail list, including sips on draft like seasonal mules and red sangria.

Grace by Nia officially opens on Thursday, May 11th starting at 4:00pm for dinner, and you can snag a reservation here or call 617.927.9411, and you can stay in the know about the live music schedule either on the website or via their socials (FB and IG).
