Crane River Cheese Club Opens

Crane River Cheese Club

Fans of chef Brian Poe‘s fare can now get it and lots more – to go! – at the Crane River Cheese Club on Beacon Hill. The new specialty grocery, opened in partnership with Nick Giannotti, is officially up and running at 138b Cambridge Street (right next door to The Tip Tap Room) and filled to the gills with a curated collection of gourmet goodies.

The posh pantry started out as a specialty foods delivery service during the pandemic, when storefronts were closed down. Now the Covid baby is all grown up as its own brick-and-mortar business with a dedicated space. Check out their website for all the cheese (naturally), high-end meats and wild game (think wild boar and ostrich), fresh seafood, local produce, spices and seasonings, meal kits and tons more handmade items from makers from all over the city and New England.

Pop by for a fresh sandwich or salad made to order, or if you’ve had something delicious at the Tip Tap Room (including chef de cuisine Guillermo Guzman’s homemade ice cream), you can grab the ingredients next door and chef it up at home. Beacon Hill-ians can keep up with daily specials by coming by to check out the chalkboard menu, and everyone can follow them on Facebook for happenings like upcoming pop-ups with local Boston chefs. The Crane River Cheese Club is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00pm; call 617.936.3069 with any Qs.
