Way back in September – well before boot season and scarf weather were here – mixoligist Ben Cogswell, of Marliave, received a precious gift – a five liter oak cask from Oak Barrels Limited. Since then, he’s lovingly tended to it, watching it age and come into its own as a classic Manhattan.
