Marliave Makes a Comeback

Chef and restaurateur Scott Herritt brings a little piece of Boston’s culinary history back to life with his restoration of Downtown Crossing’s Marliave. Originally opened in 1885 by French immigrant Henry Marliave, this historic and quirky restaurant has survived for over a century. Herritt’s revival includes refurbishing the mosaic tile floors and a whole new menu of French-inflected, New England fare served in the more formal upstairs dining room and the more relaxed downstairs bar. Take a peek and then head down town to taste a little piece of history.
