Verrill Farm hosts their 10th Annual BBQ Festival this fall and this year’s event is not to be missed. Scheduled for Saturday, September 18th from 12:00-6:00pm, the festival starts with a New England Barbeque Society-sponsored grilling competition, which is open to both amateurs and professionals for a mere $25 registration fee. After the judging, which is at noon, guests will be welcome to enjoy an afternoon of live music from the Pine Hill Ramblers, hay rides and, of course, more BBQ than you can shake a stick at. Admission is free, but BBQ like ribs, pulled pork, BBQ chicken drumsticks, BBQ salmon, hot dogs, coleslaw, corn bread, baked beans, apple crisp and bread pudding with bourbon sauce will all be available a la carte to enjoy at the farm or as take out.
