A Spoonful of Ginger

Sure, a spoonful of sugar may help the medicine go down, but a spoonful of ginger just makes everything taste better. On Monday, April 5th get ready to treat your taste buds to this year’s Spoonful of Ginger tasting event to raise money for and the 10th anniversary of the Joslin Diabetes Center’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative. Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger, Jasper White of Summer Shack and Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery and Myers + Chang will be just a few of the friendly culinary faces cooking up a myriad of tempting tastes. Make sure to sample whatever tasty treats the folks from Bravo, Davio’s, Taranta and UpStairs on the Square are serving up as well. Being held for the first time at the Museum of Fine Arts, this year’s event will also feature a special “Art Lover’s” ticket option ($500 per person) that includes a curator led tour of either the special Egyptian or Chinese exhibits (to be held before the event at 5:00pm). Regular tickets to the event, which runs from 6:00 to 9:00pm, cost $250 each – to purchase either ticket option, call 617.732.2531 or send an email to ginger@joslin.harvard.edu.
