Slow Food Dinner at The Coach House

On Wednesday March 14th The Coach House at the Harbor View Hotel on Martha’s Vineyard opens its doors to local growers, purveyors and neighbors for the 2007 Slow Food New England Boiled Dinner. In celebration of spring and the Vineyard’s bounty, chef Joshua Hollinger pays tribute to the island’s farmers and fishermen with a menu filled with local ingredients, like Scarlet oysters from Katama Bay, fresh lobsters caught by Louis and Jeff at The Net Result and Allen Farm beef brisket. Executive sous chef Troy Himmelman will demonstrate how to pull sugar as he creates a sweet seascape for dessert. Dinner, which starts at 7:00pm, costs $35 for Slow Food members and $40 for non-members. The Harbor View Hotel will make a $5 donation to Slow Food on behalf of each guest.
