Mark your calendars for the upcoming Anthony Spinazzola Foundation Gala Festival of Food & Wine. On Friday, January 30th, the annual black-tie fundraiser, now in its 19th year, gets underway at the World Trade Center Boston with representatives from more than 120 of Boston’s best restaurants and 90 international vintners all geared up for an evening of sampling, dancing, and mingling. Guests can also look forward to being entertained by the improvisational battle of the Viking Celebrity Chef Cook-Off in which teams compete against each other and the clock to out-cook each other after being presented with previously unannounced ingredients. Chefs from across the country including Hiro Sone of Terra in St. Helena, California, Susan Spicer of New Orleans’ Bayona and Michael Ginor, Hudson Valley Foie Gras in Great Neck, New York join chefs from Aujourd’hui, Azure, Chez Henri, Clio, Coriander Bistro, Excelsior, Finale, Gourmet Caterers, Grill 23 & Bar, Harvest, Icarus, Il Capriccio, The Independent, Julien at Le Meridien, L’Espalier, Le Soir, Mistral, No. 9 Park, Olives, Rialto, Noir, blu, Ristorante Marino, Sage, Sandrine’s, Taranta, 33 Restaurant & Lounge, and Tosca at this not-to-be-missed evening of culinary entertainment.
