Pastry chefs are usually a peaceful bunch, but on Saturday, November 10th, the flour will be flying at the 5th annual Rise & Rumble event at Post 390. This brunch brawl pits eight of the city’s best bakers against one another in a donut throwdown, and while there can be only one reigning champ, nobody’s really losing when you’re talking about eating a bunch of donuts. Look for your favorite sweets-makers including Joshua Livsey of Harvest, Kate Holowchik of Lincoln and Capo, Angela Peterson of Catalyst, Christina Larson of Bar Mezzana and Christina Asmutis of Trade and Porto (among others). Tickets are $35 and include your donut tasting as well as the Post 390 brunch buffet and espresso bar.
