Iron Chef Louie Night

Get ready to allez cuisine on Sunday, April 11th when Sel de la Terre Back Bay chef Louis DiBiccari brings back his famous Iron Chef Louie Nights. What started out as a fun little evening amongst friends has transformed into a full-fledged event complete with prohibition-style, Haitian-inspired craft cocktails from Eastern Standard‘s Jackson Cannon and freshly shucked oysters courtesy of Island Creek. Here’s how it works – go to the event website to pick your favorite culinary theme and ingredients from the list. Whichever theme or culinary component wins the popular vote will be the focus of the evening’s meal, as interpreted by chef Louie and a couple pals who’ll be helping him out – Will Gilson of Garden at the Cellar and Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa. Your $38 ticket entitles you to the cocktail and oyster reception at 6:00pm followed by the family-style dinner which commences at 7:00pm. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a $5 suggested donation to the Haitian Relief effort at the door. The fun takes place in the former Great Bay space (500 Commonwealth Avenue) – purchase your tickets through the Chef Louie Night website.
