The Regatta of Cotuit invites you to join them for a sampling of food and wine from around the globe at their first annual International Food & Wine Celebration on Friday, October 29th. New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Germany and the United States, among others, will all be culinarily represented by an international selection of hors d’oeuvres at the 7:00pm cocktail reception. The seven-course dinner that follows, prepared by chef Heather Allen, will feature dishes designed to capture the essence of their homeland. The U.S. comes to the table with a torchon of Sonoma fois gras sandwich with Oregon pear chutney and red wine sauce. France will be represented by Escoffier’s Entrecôte à la Forestière, with sauce marchand de vin, morel mushrooms, pommes dauphine and haricots verts. Germany steps up to the plate with Bohemian plum pancakes with housemade quark ice cream, Stroh rum sauce and candied violets. The dinner costs $125 per person, not including tax and gratuity.
