Bring yourself back to the simple days of childhood with one, two or maybe a few scoops of ice cream at WGBH’s Gourmet Ice Cream Bowl party on Wednesday, May 23rd. Seven contestants — Bart’s Ice Cream, Nona’s Homemade, Picco, Reasons To Be Cheerful, Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream, JP Licks and Sweet Street Gelato — will be judged by pastry chef Joshua Livsey of Harvest and Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks, Tiger Mama and the forthcoming Fool’s Errand. All you need is your spoon (and your ID – the event is 21+) to vote for best chocolate, best wild card and people’s choice. There’ll be a cash bar if you want to supplement your sweet treat with something boozy. Buy your tickets here – $20 for members and $25 for non members (not including processing fees).
