Forage Explores the Piedmont

Barolo, Barbaresco, and Barbera d’Asti are just a few of the DOCG’s you’ll get to explore at this week’s wine dinner at Forage as they traverse the many wines of the Piedmont region of Italy. Chef Eric Cooper and wine guru Stan Hilbert have four courses of tastes and sips from the region that’s named for its locale at the “foot of the mountains,” including Rendered Pork Belly & Lardo with Dandelion Greens, Lemon, Toasted Hazelnuts, and House Nutella paired with 2021 Erbaluce, “Lucino”, Barbaglia; and Beef Meatballs with Marfax Bean Marinara, Oregano, and House Made Pasta paired with 2017 Barbaresco, Luigi Giordano. Grab a reservation here between 5:00 and 8:45 pm for the dining room or heated patio; dinner is $105 per person. Or, if you’d like to kick back in some sweats while you traverse the Alps and the Apennines on your couch you can order dinner to go here for $160. As always, if you fall in love with a wine you can take a bottle or two home after dinner at retail prices, or order up a case from Hilbert’s new bottle shop in Dedham.
