Kirkland Tap & Trotter has something to bark about this summer with a series of local chefs putting their spin on the Monday night Kirkland Dog. Chef Tony Maws tweaked his Frankfurter recipe to perfection (including the house-made pretzel bun) and now he’s calling in chefs Ken Oringer, Matt JenningsKaren Akunowicz and Jody Adams to add the finishing touches for limited-time hot dog specials. Each chef will debut their dressed-up dog at the restaurant for the first night of its run and the specials will be available Monday nights until the next chef steps in. Guests can pick up a punch card and those who dine on all four Franks get entered to work with Maws’ team to create their own hot dog for the October menu. The hot dogs cost $16 each and Maws will donate 50 percent of the proceeds to Share Our Strength to end childhood hunger. See the schedule below and call 857.259.6585 for more details.
