Circle of Legendary Boston Food Friends

Sister restaurateurs Kathy Sidell Trustman of The Metropolitan Club and Stephanie Sidell Sokolove of Stephanie’s on Newbury enlist the help of some Boston’s brightest culinary stars to honor their father at the Circle of Legendary Boston Food Friends. Jack Sidell, who helped the Boston restaurant scene to become what it is today, didn’t make his contribution in the kitchen but on the financial side, lending support to local talent like Steve DiFilippo. Jasper White and Todd English (not to mention his own daughters). On Monday, May 16th, more than twenty chefs from area eateries will be offering tastes in tribute – be sure not to miss morsels from Davio’s, dante, Kingfish Hall, 51 Lincoln, Aquitaine, Lolita, B Street, Bernard’s, No. 9 Park, Trina’s, Bokx 109, Avila, Chez Henri, Pigalle, Summer Shack, Met Back Bay and La Morra. As if the food weren’t enough to justify the $150 ticket price, the event doubles as a fundraiser with proceeds benefitting the Mass General Heart Health Center. Plus there’ll be Kettle One cocktails, bubbles from Moet and beer from Sam Adams. Annie Copps will be emceeing the event, which will take place in the Galleria at 10 St. James Avenue (right next to Davio’s) from 6:00-9:00pm). Get dressed up (cocktail attire) and raise a glass to Jack Sidell, we’re all eating better because of his efforts.
