On Thursday, April 24th Mayor Thomas Menino and the Boston Public Health Commission enlist the help of some of the city’s top chefs for the 21st annual Beyond Shelter Gala. Held in the State Room at 60 State Street from 6:00-11:00pm, the evening includes panoramic views of the city from 33 floors up, live music and dancing to the big band sounds of Four Guys In Tuxes, an elaborate auction and great raffle prizes, and, of course, yummy morsels of tasty goodness from the generous chefs at spots like Ashmont Grill, Azure, Eclano, Eastern Standard, Gargoyles on the Square, Grafton Street, Hamersley’s Bistro, Icarus and Temple Bar. One hundred percent of the proceeds from each $100 ticket benefit the Friends of Boston’s Homeless and their transitional programs including affordable permanent housing, job training and adult education and literacy programs for the homeless.
