Aujourd’hui at Four Seasons Boston switches things up this summer making its weekly Epicurean Evenings into one seventeen week long blind tasting competition that wraps up with a grand taste-off at the end of the summer. Every Tuesday at 6:00pm, from May 9th through August 29th guests can enjoy three light courses paired with three wines from sommelier Ted Davidson’s extensive international collection. Davidson will offer guidance and answers a few questions, but he won’t give anything away. Guests will hand in their best guess and whoever gets the closest will be welcomed back for the Tuesday, September 12 taste-off event with a “lifeline” guest of their choice. The grand prize is an assortment of sweets for two from pastry chef Tim Fonseca, a Saturday night stay in the hotel and Sunday brunch for two at Aujourd’hui. Each Epicurean Evening costs $45 per person. Take note: there are no Epicurean Evenings scheduled for Tuesday, May 30th, Tuesday, July 4th or Tuesday, September 5th and wine professionals are not eligible for the grand taste-off.
