Chefs Steve LaCount and Joe Rocco welcome the ladies of Divas Uncorked to Chiara Bistro in Westwood on Monday, May 15th for a wine dinner featuring the best summer sippers from France, Germany and Italy’s top female vintners. The Divas, who’ve made it their mission to teach women how to be wine savvy not wine snobby, have enlisted the help of Kate Cassidy from Boston Wines who’ll be educating guests about the wines and winemakers. Hors d’oeuvres, which start circulating at 6:30pm, include crispy sunchoke chips with deviled crabmeat; cilantro cured salmon gravlax canapés; and mini duck cannelloni. For dinner courses LaCount and Rocco will be putting up baby arugula, frisée and lola rossa salad with prosciutto crisps and kalamata olive vinaigrette; pan-seared halibut in roasted shrimp broth with shrimp mousse dumplings, fava bean ravioli and chive oil; spring morel bisque with tarragon crème fraiche; and almond crème caramel with brûléed fresh apricots with apricot vanilla sauternes coulis, candied almonds.
