Chef Will Gilson’s Geppetto, nestled on the first floor of The Lexington at Cambridge Crossing, melds modern Italian fare with a comfortable, yet sophisticated atmosphere that’s ideal for either a special occasion or a casual weeknight on the town.
The menu centers on a selection of house-made pastas and an ever-changing seasonal selection of local catches, Italian-inspired classics, shareable plates and family-style entrees. Have sip from their rotating lineup of craft cocktails or try something from the fun and funky lineup of Italian wines or the in-house Amaro cart. And be sure to save space for a scoop of fresh gelato or other sweets from pastry chef Brian Mercury.
The space was designed by RODE Architects to be cool but comfortable. Find a seat on one of the blush-colored banquettes or snag a table next to the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the complex’s lush green space. The room is light and airy and features teal paneled walls, copper accents, statement lighting and rich tiling that all echo the scholarly vibe of Cambridge. There’s room for 74 people, which feels cozy without being cramped, and in the winter there’s a warm glow from the built-in fireplace.
