If you’ve been missing Rosebud Kitchen & Bar in Somerville’s Davis Square since they closed a few months ago, fear not because they’re back in action. Get your palate primed for some of the iconic diner’s classics mixed with some all new Indian-inspired dishes, because the neighborhood landmark is back with an all new menu.

Chef Keith Sarasin and the team from the Bindaas Restaurant Group are all about the comfort food at this latest iteration of the classic diner that was built by the Worcester Lunch Car Company in 1941 and entered into the National Registry of Historic Places in 1999. If you’re looking for standbys like bacon cheeseburgers, mac ‘n cheese, French toast, buttermilk pancakes and eggs, and hot dogs you won’t be disappointed. But you can also customize your classics with some Indian-inspired touches like savory Lamb and Pea Keema in the Cottage Pie; dig into a Crispy Kerala Fried Chicken with a Green Chili Buttermilk Waffle and Coconut & Maple Syrup; or jazz up your hot dog with Indian Vegetable Chili, Cilantro, and Red Onion. You can definitely still get a piece of pie from their selection of Petsi Pies (also made in Somerville), or branch out and treat your sweet tooth to a Mango Lassi Parfait. It wouldn’t be Rosebud without a sip or two of something tasty, and beverage director Will Corado has a lineup of $10 cocktails that’ll pair perfectly with all the burgers and things, like a Bombay to Boston (an Old Fashioned made with Curry Bitters) and Dirty Chai (Chai flavored Espresso Martini). The space features art deco black and red leather booths accented with weathered wood paneling, and whether you’ve been a Rosebud regular in the past or it’s your first time you’ll find plenty of space in the room that seats 145 (including at the 20-seat bar), plus there’s room for 30 on the outdoor patio in the warmer months.

The new Rosebud is open at 381 Summer Street Monday through Thursday from 11:00am to 3:00pm for lunch, and 5:00 to 10:00pm for dinner; Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm for lunch and 5:00 to 11:00pm for dinner; and open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 3:30pm then dinner from 5:00pm to 11:00pm.
