Tony Susi Takes Over at Bar Enza

Bar Enza

Acclaimed Boston-area chef Tony Susi is putting down some roots in Cambridge as the new executive chef of Bar Enza in The Charles Hotel. Locals may know the chef and culinary consultant from his work at Capo, Ripasso at Wink & Nod, and Geppetto in Cambridge, where he’s honed his skills as one of the city’s foremost Italian chefs and pasta makers. He takes over the helm of the neo-trattoria from chef Mark Ladner who has transitioned into a corporate position with Bar Enza’s parent company, The Lyons Group.

Head to Harvard Square any Monday through Saturday to check out the fresh new menu additions, including plates like sirloin carpaccio with truffle and artichoke vinaigrette; roasted mushroom and leeks with goat cheese fonduta; campanelle nero (squid ink pasta with crabmeat); agnolotti with spring peas, mascarpone and parmesan; and a monkfish served acqua pazza style (check out the full menu here). Keep up with Susi’s cheffing adventures on his IG, and you can make a reservation to pop in and say welcome here.
