Exploring the Alto Adige region of Italy is as easy as an Uber ride to the West End on Monday, March 25th when Alcove hosts a visit from Wolfgang Klotz of Cantina Tramin Winery. While the region is in Italy, the winery and vineyards are perched on the south side of the Alps and boast a decidedly German influence. In fact, the region is widely considered to be the original origin of Gewürztraminer grapes (hence the name), which the winery collective has been cultivating for more than 100 years.
You’ll get to try pours of Tramin’s elegant wines during a four-course dinner from chef Mark Cina, and Klotz will be on hand to answer all your alpine winemaking inquiries as he talks you through each bottle. Grab tickets here for $140 each. Dinner kicks off at 6:00pm with some passed bites and a little time to take in the views off of Lovejoy Wharf before sitting down for plated courses. Keep an eye out for the menu on their IG or give them a call at 617.248.0050 if you have any specific food Qs.
