Seventh Annual Cooking for a Cause

On Thursday, March 25th, a slew of chefs from Cambridge and beyond are rallying together in support of the East End House at the seventh annual Cooking for a Cause. To be sure the evening is as tasty as possible, Culinary Chair Rachel Klein of Aura at the Seaport Hotel has enlisted friends and colleagues like Jody Adams, Jamie Bissonnette, Dante de Magistris, Louis DiBiccari, Eric Brennan, Stephen Brown, Will Gilson, Andy Husbands, Evan Percoco, Paul O’Connell, Rodney Murillo, Jay Murray, Tony Maws, Chris Schlesinger, Jason Santos, Greg Reeves and Patricia Yeo. To be sure the evening is as entertaining as possible, they’ve enlisted the help of the Winiker Orchestra, and local vendors like Berkshire Mountain Distillers Dancing Deer Baking Co., Taza Chocolate and Westport Rivers Vineyard and Winery. They’ve also pulled together quite an array of items for the evening’s live and silent auctions – a big bottle of bubbly, an overflowing gift basket from Whole Foods, Sox tickets and great getwaways to Nantucket and St. John. Tickets for the collaborative little fete, which starts at 6:00pm in the Harborview Ballroom at the Seaport World Trade Center, cost $100 each and are available online. Proceeds from each and every ticket support the East End House, one of the country’s oldest continuously operating community centers.
