School House Rocks at the Roxy

The words “school night” take on a whole new meaning on Thursday, April 27th when area chefs team up with nationally known musicians and performers at the Roxy for School House Rocks, an event to raise funds for Peace Games. From 6:00-10:00pm, glitterati (think famous folk like actors, sports stars and corporate leaders) will be on hand, nibbling on sweet and savory treats from restaurants like Via Matta, Union Bar and Grille, Clio, Eastern Standard and Petit Robert, while Lisa Loeb, Jordan Knight, Vance Gilbert and James Montgomery, among others, take the stage. Tickets cost $200 each, with proceeds benefiting Peace Games, a non-profit dedicated to ending the escalating trend of violence in this country by teaching children to become peacemakers in their schools and communities. To get the full rundown on the evening’s festivities or to purchase tickets, go to www.schoolhouserocksevent.com or call 617.357.0032. So, forget it’s a school night and party like a rock star for a good cause.
