Pop-Ups in the Prairie Fire Beer Garden

Summer’s not over yet — there’s still plenty of time for a couple pints in the beer garden at Prairie Fire during a pair of Saturday afternoon events that you won’t want to miss. Head to the wood-fired hotspot on Harvard Street in Brookline on Saturday, August 20th from 4:00 to 7:00pm for a hang with Malden’s Idle Hands Craft Ales, which will have a rep from the brewery pouring some specialty Belgian- and German-inspired beers. Fellow Coolidge Corner-ians Brookline Booksmith will also be on hand with a selection of food- and drinks-related titles for sale.

If you can’t make it (or you naturally want to come drink more beer), stop by on Saturday, August 27th from 4:00 to 7:00pm for a meetup with Sam Von Trapp of Stowe, Vermont’s Von Trapp Brewing, who will be pouring some of their signature Bavarian lagers and telling stories about his famed family history.

Chef Brendan Joy’s full menu will be available during both events so bring a few friends and share a pizza or two, and should someone in your crew not be into beer there are plenty of wines and craft cocktails on the drinks list. Both events are first-come, first-served, no tickets or reservations required. Follow them on Insta for any updates and future events, and call 617.396.8199 with Qs.
