Oak Celebrates Wood Anniversary

Funny how time flies – it’s already been five years since OAK Long Bar + Kitchen first opened in the Fairmont Copley Plaza. To celebrate the restaurant’s wood anniversary (is that on brand or what?), on Monday, July 24th, they’re offering a trio of wood-themed specials (a cocktail, entree and dessert) courtesy of executive chef Graham Lockwood and pastry chef Lindsay LeBlanc. Smoked Chai Manhattan & Smoked Pecan Whiskey Caramel Donut
Prepared first by charring a wooden block with a blowtorch, then placing a snifter glass upside down atop the wood to capture its aroma. Knob creek rye, chai rum, dom Benedictine poured into the glass. Served on a wood block with the above smoky donut.

Hearth Roasted Porchetta
Cooked inside our wood-fire hearth oven. Stone fruit and panzanella salad, Anson Mills Grits.
