MLK Day Brunch at the Burros

Brian Samuels for Alpine Restaurant Group

Long weekends can only mean one thing: more time for brunch at The Burros. Head to The Painted Burro in Somerville’s Davis Square or the new outpost right in Harvard Square, or to the South End’s Burro Bar to grab an extra helping of their famous Bottomless Brunch. Book a table between 10:00am and 3:00pm on Monday, January 15th and you can go for a classic Morning Taco with scrambled eggs, avocado, pico de gallo, Mexican crema and cotija, or opt for something all new like the Machaca Omelette with Mexican braised beef, pico de gallo, tres quesos and citrus crema. Or grab both – it’s bottomless after all, and costs just $25 per person. Wash it all down with a Hair of the Dog (horchata iced coffee, rumchata, espresso liqueur, cinnamon sugar rim) or throw caution to the wind and sip a little tequila — you’ll have the rest of the day to take a nap. Grab reservations on their website and get your comfy pants ready because there’s a lot of brunching to do.

They’ve even added a charitable component, too – throughout the weekend (from Saturday, January 13th through Monday, January 15th) they’ll be accepting donations for Birthday Wishes, a Natick-based non-profit that collects birthday supplies and throw parties for children living in homeless shelters. Bring your donation (cake mixes, frosting, festive party supplies etc.) with you for brunch and you’ll get a complimentary horchata coffee (or a dessert on the house at dinner).
