Everyone’s honorary nona, TV chef Mary Ann Esposito, is going to be stopping by Davio’s at MarketStreet in Lynnfield on Wednesday, November 30th for a five-course dinner (aka a little Italian snack) and you won’t want to miss it.
The host of “Ciao Italia with Mary Ann Esposito” — the longest running cooking show on television — will be joined by Davio’s chef/owner (and fellow author) Steve DiFillippo for an evening of old-world-style cuisine inspired by recipes in her new book, Ciao Italia — Plant, Harvest, Cook!, including Lemony Linguine with Shrimp and Peas; Sea Bass with Shallot Sauce, Cauliflower-Potato Casserole and Crispy Onions; and Scented Geranium Cake. Grab tickets for the dinner here for $150, which includes an autographed copy of the book, tax, and gratuity, plus you can add wine pairings to your dinner for an extra $50. Passed appetizers start circulating at 6:30pm before sitting down for plated courses; take a peek at the full menu below.
Esposito, the granddaughter of first-generation Italian immigrants from Sicily and Naples, started her culinary career teaching cooking at the extension program at the University of New Hampshire. She pitched and later taped a pilot for her show with New Hampshire Public Television in the late 1980s, and today in addition to her show she has published more than a dozen cookbooks and makes more than forty public appearances a year, including showing up at places like The Today Show, Regis and Kathie Lee, QVC, The Food Network, Martha Stewart Living Radio, and contributing to The Huffington Post and New Hampshire Home. Bring your Italian cuisine questions along, as Esposito surely has the answers — she also holds a master’s degree in Italian renaissance cooking.
Keep an eye on Davio’s socials (Facebook and Instagram) for any updates and photos after the party, and give them a call at 781.944.4810 with any Qs. For more about Esposito, check out her website or follow her on IG.
