Indoctrinating their next crop of sous chefs, some of the city’s most noted chefs come out on Monday, October 5th for Chefs at the Table, a collaborative evening in the kitchen to benefit Kids Can Cook. With the help of Kids Can Cook students, top toques from 28 Degrees, The Beehive, Craigie on Main, Da Vinci, Davio’s, Douzo, Estragon, Garden at the Cellar, Henrietta’s Table, La Morra, Lineage, Lumière, Meyers + Chang, Olé, Oleana, Olives, Rialto, Rocca, Stella, Stephanie’s on Newbury, Summer Shack and Tremont 647 will be preparing dinner tableside for groups of ten. Guests, from their front row seats, will witness the creation of all three courses of their meal – though they’ll only find out who’ll be cooking for them during the evening’s cocktail hour, where chefs and diners will be matched up in a live drawing. The event, which costs $500 per person, runs from 6:30 to 9:30pm at the Kids Can Cook headquarters aka the Boston Flower Exchange Building (560 Albany Street). Proceeds support the Kids Can Cook mission to provide middle school youth with an innovative and educational out-of-school experience that teaches important life skills through the art and science of cooking.
