Chef Gordon Hamersley – who may or may not hold the distinction of having cooked the worst meal she ever tasted – pays his respects to his friend and collaborator, Julia Child, on her 100th birthday. On Wednesday, August 15th Hamersley’s Bistro will be offering a three-course tribute menu in addition to his regular summer menu. Reserve a table to pay your respects and to choose from among dishes like creamy vichyssoise with toasted garlic croutons; and slow roasted leg of lamb with Provencal tomatoes and mustard and rosemary sauce. The birthday dinner menu costs $65 per person and will be available throughout the evening.
