Forage Explores Georgian Wines

For the first Wine Tuesday of the month, the folks at Forage are inviting wine importer Kosta Chernikov to share some insights (and some favorite bottles) from Georgia. Sign up for the dinner, scheduled for November 7th, to explore some awesome natural wines from his country, which is home to more than 500 grape varieties and where, according to recent research, the winemaking traditions date back to 6,000 BC.

Chernikov will chat about his selected pairings and, if you really want to see him light up, you can ask him about qvevri, the egg-shaped clay vessels buried underground that are a signature part of Georgia’s winemaking. Chef Eric Cooper will be matching the evening’s wines with a four-course dinner (available in omnivore and vegetarian versions) and you can dine on-site for $110 per person or enjoy your meal at home for $160 to share for two people.

Book your table or place your order accordingly and get to know Georgian wines with guidance from an expert.
