If you’ve ever sipped an Italian wine in the state of Massachusetts, chances are high that wine importer and aficionado Nick Mucci had a hand at getting it to your glass. He and his brother James are the brains behind Mucci Imports, which represents some of the finest wineries in Italy, and you can spend the evening sipping some of the greats with Nick himself on Tuesday, March 19th at Forage. Chef Eric Cooper has lots of tasty ingredients on the menu this week to pair with five fabulous Italian wines, including Alycia’s Bread with House Sour Cream, Trout Roe, Red Onion and Dill Pickle paired with 2020 Erbaluce “Genesis”, Maletto, Piedmont; and Hanger Steak with Creamy Polenta, Seared Mushrooms, Wilted Greens and Jus paired with 2021 Cesanese, Marco Tomei, Sezze (check out the menu below).

Reserve a spot for dinner at their cozy Cambridge dining room here; dinner costs $110 per person and you can add an optional extra course for $25. If you’re a better wine taster when you’ve got your favorite sweats on, order all the food and wine to go here for $160 (serves two people). Mucci will have plenty of bottles to bring home after dinner for retail prices in case you taste something you can’t live without, and if you’re dining at home you can always pay Stan Hilbert a visit at his Dedham bottle shop, Satellite, to get the goods.
