Tap into your Hellenic side and drink wine like Dionysus at this week’s wine dinner at Forage – on Tuesday, April 11th the team at the Cambridge restaurant will be serving up pours from Domaine Lyrarakis on the Greek island of Crete. Wine guru Stan Hilbert is a big fan of an offbeat, small-production wine, and Domaine Lyrarakis checks all the boxes. Established in 1966, the winery is at the forefront of viticultural innovation, and specializes in obscure local varieties like Plytó, Dafni, and Vidiano.

You’ll get to try some of these truly unique wines all paired up with five course from chef Eric Cooper including Crepinette with Carrot Puree, Orzo with Oregano & Almonds, Balaton Cherry Mostarda with 2020 Mandilari; and Narragansett Creamery Halloumi with Whole Wheat Pita, Cranberries & Dates, Pickled Rhubarb with Tarragon paired with 2017 Karnari Kotsifali (take a peek at the omnivore and vegetarian menus below).

If you like tasting wines that you’ve never tried anywhere else, grab a reservation here to dine in for $95 per person, or order your feast to take home here for two for $160. And if you find yourself loving the Cretan wines, don’t worry about booking plane tickets — the bottles will be available to take home at retail price.
